TO SEE AND DO

FARM TRAIL

View West

The trail has been created around the farm to allow visitors the opportunity to walk and enjoy our lovely English countryside. The trail is marked and you will have a plan of the trail with distances and features highlighted.

Hay Meadow

On the marked trail you will pass two woodlands - Walton Thorns and Craddock's Ashes, ponds, streams and hedgerows. You will wander along the sides of our cropped fields growing wheat and oilseed rape.

Spring Crops

Our fields are farmed by us in an environmentally aware manner. We use chemicals and fertilisers only when necessary to produce a safe quality product. We take great pride in our farming and we hope you enjoy walking around our farm.

Chaffinch and Blue-tit

There are many species of birds to be seen - buzzards, chaffinch, gold finch, yellow hammer, song thrushes, black birds, robins, wrens, various tits, green-finches, doves and kestrels to name a few.

Barn Owl

Look out for the barn owl at dusk or if you are lucky you may have a day-time sighting like this one. Hear the buzzards call above the trees or look on top of the telegraph posts to see them watching for their prey in the grass.

VINTAGE AND CLASSIC TRACTOR COLLECTION

part Tractor Collection

On the farm we have a collection of vintage and classic tractors which we have built up over the years. There are Fords, Ford conversions, County, Roadless, International, Versatile and Nuffield tractors in the collection.

We are happy to give guided tours of these tractors for those who are interested.

Belvoir Trctor Show County Tractor

There are numerous Vintage Tractor events nearby throughout the year including Newark, Belvoir Castle, Rempstone Steam Rally, Diseworth and Harby. We welcome anyone who is exhibiting or visiting any nearby events who may need accommodation in our Holiday Cottages.
