Welcome to Walton Thorns Farm in the heart of rural Leicestershire. Our two barn converted Cottages provide four star self-catering accommodation for those wishing to visit the East Midlands. We are very convenient for the famous market town of Melton Mowbray and the University towns of Loughborough and Leicester. Walton Thorns Rural Centre is a modern venue for meetings, training and small conferences with excellent facilities and ample, free car parking.

COTTAGES

Old traditional courtyard buildings have been converted into two luxury self-catering Cottages.Ideal for holiday accommodation, country cottage breaks, tractor enthusiast's holidays or visiting relations and friends for weddings or festivals in the area. All bedrooms are spacious with contemporary en-suite bathrooms. We have retained the original charm of the buildings with vaulted ceilings and old oak beams in The Old Hay Barn and three large picture windows in Shire Cottage. Each has its own private patio with views over the open countryside.

RURAL CENTRE

Walton Thorns Rural Centre is an ideal business venue for meetings of up to 40 people. There are two well equipped bright rooms and ample car parking. We have good access from major roads in the East Midlands being situated just 1 mile from the A46 at the Six Hills Junction, 7 miles from Melton Mowbray and Loughborough, 15 miles from Leicester, 20 miles from Nottingham, 8 miles from the M1 and 12 miles from East Midlands Airport and Donington Park. We also provide delicious homemade refreshments and our prices are very competitive.

FARM TRAIL

A Farm Trail for the enjoyment of all visitors to Walton Thorns Farm has been marked out and winds its way around the farm past ponds, woodland, hedgerows and streams. There are different routes so even if you only have a lunch break there is a walk for you to enjoy.

TRACTOR TOURS

Guided tours of our interesting collection of vintage and classic Ford, Roadless, County and International tractors can be arranged for those who are interested. We welcome both our leisure and business guests to view our collection.
